2027 is your Year of Growth
When I sat down at my (creatively chaotic) work desk to begin my journey of creation of the 2027 edition, I knew I wanted it to have more colour.
More whimsy. I wanted wild moonflowers. Owls. Moths. Of course, stars and moons.
Minimalism is fun until it’s not… and I feel the longing of humanity to return to magic and colour and ritual and trinkets and objects that make us FEEL good. That makes us feel like we're touching something otherworldly and magical.
Do you remember your grandmother’s house?
Her shelves were always filled with the most interesting clutter, and that one ‘everything’ drawer always had something fascinating in it.
I loved the idea of someone coming across the Year of Growth Diary and feel like it brought them back to that child-like wonder, where fairytales were more real than reality, where everything was extra sparkly.
An owl wanted to be on the cover - that was clear.
I couldn’t really consider any other alternatives, it kept popping up in my imagination. The ethereal white barn owl, she is mysterious and wise, a symbol of intuition, ancient knowledge, transformation and beginnings - and a creature we often associate with magic. (Think Harry Potter!)
To me, she says… “Trust what you know without needing to see the whole path yet.”
The lunar moth enhances that mood, also being a symbol of rebirth, the subconscious, and following your inner light.
...and that feels fitting for 2027.
As an artist who creates diaries and planners for the year ahead, I feel like I live in the future during the months I am creating the journals - through tuning into calendar dates, astrological information, movements of the stars and the moon.
And when 2027 actually rolls around, I already feel familiar with it.
And let me tell you, 2027 feels like the year you finally reconnect with your inner magic. I trust and feel that deeply. It is my greatest honour to create the tools for you to do so.
Process of Creation
Each time I work with a different astrologer to bring the book to life - and this edition was created in collaboration with UK-based astrologer Sophie Williams, who wrote the astrological sections of the diary - yearly overview, monthly overviews, new and full moon information. Her language is perfect for beginners with the way she explains what is sometimes hard to describe, in such casual and interesting way!
The 2027 Year of Growth edition has a new, exciting update… A space for weekly card pulls, as well as every new & full moons. Oracles and tarot are a big part of what I do - it made sense to link all of my creations together through this prompt. I have never seen a diary or planner that offers this, so personally I am so excited to use it even for myself.
Both the Daily Planner and the YOG have also been updated with new fonts that reflect the energy of the books, new affirmations, and new illustrations and borders that really make it feel like an ancient fairy diary.
As a self-published artist, I am beyond grateful for your love & support. Truly.
Love, Annie

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What’s the difference between Year of Growth diary and Daily Planner?
I actually first started with creating Year of Growth diaries and then people told me that they like to use a different, simpler planner alongside it, to use for mundane to-do lists and organisation, rather than deep self-reflection. So, I created a matching Daily Planner to accompany the diary.
If the Year of Growth Diary is the heart - guiding you inward and capturing your reflections - then the Daily Planner is the mind - holding your tasks, appointments, and ideas so you can be fully present in the moment!
What’s the daily journaling section like?
Year of Growth diary is week-per-spread, with a line at the end of each journaling section to document what you are grateful for. At the end of the week, there is more space for weekly reflection and intention setting. Each month has space for reflection and intention setting.
Daily Planner is day-per-page, and is created more for to-do lists. There are no reflection and intention setting prompts, but there is a daily check-in to make sure you drank enough water, got rest and went outside. Us busy-bees sometimes forget to take care of our human bodies!
What do I write every day?
Well that depends entirely on you. There is no right or wrong way to use these books. However, most people prefer to use Year of Growth to document their days, memorable moments, situations, experiences, feelings, thoughts, ideas, dreams. Weekly and monthly journaling promtps are there to guide your journaling practice.
You can of course use the Year of Growth diary for to-do lists, appointments and tasks, too. But if you like to separate creative journaling from logical, the Daily Planner is here to help you with time management and organisation with a layout perfect for lists.
What if I can’t keep up with daily journaling?
That is completely okay!
Of course, it is encouraged, because I believe daily check-ins with yourself can be life changing and very healing. However, my intention here is make your life easier, not harder. Sometimes it takes a while to build a habit, and other times the idea of journaling daily can feel like ‘too much’. It’s okay.
Do what you can. Even if you just do the end-of-week prompts, you will get a lot out of this. Even if you just focus on New and Full Moon journaling, you will enjoy the diary. Do what you’re capable of, and know, you can always come back.
I don’t know how to decide which colour. What do they represent?
The original Black & Gold colourway are Dreamy brand colours, with black representing mystery, the unknown, depth, protection and the subconscious. Gold brings illumination, abundance and manifestation. It represents the light that exists within the darkness.
Black + gold = mystery transformed into magic.
Midnight Blue & Silver represents the deepest night, dreams, imagination and the vastness of the universe. Silver feels like moonlight, intuition, reflection. Unlike gold's warm solar energy, silver feels like receiving rather than doing… listening, dreaming and allowing.
Midnight + silver = the magic of the night.
Lavender & Gold carries a softer, more ethereal energy… Representing healing, spirituality, creativity, something light and whimsical and fairy-like. It's a colour that feels like dreaming with your eyes open. The gold adds warmth, abundance and creative confidence.
Lavender + gold = dreams made real.
Can I mix and match?
Of course! There are bundles with the Year of Growth and Daily Planner including all of the colour combinations
What’s the blank journal like?
This time, I created an addition to the 2027 collection - a matching blank Moonflower journal, with nice thick cream pages.
Why fully blank? I have never made an entirely blank journal. They are perfect for sketching, drawing, free-writing, collaging, scrapbooking… I wanted to have something that inspires you to create and write beyond the limits of the lines. That makes you feel completely free.
Are there bundle offers?
Yes!
If you add a Year of Growth & Daily Planner to the cart, and then add a Moonflower Journal of choice to the cart as well, an automatic discount will come through and you will get the Moonflower Journal for 40% off.
Why is Europe / UK launch later?
Our EU & UK Launch is on the 1 October, 8am CEST - and that is because shipping from our printers takes longer to reach Amsterdam than it does to reach Sydney.
Yes I could have launched at the same time and had longer preorders - but having preorders sitting for weeks can also complicate things from the logistical side.
So, we are going live 1 October, and then the diaries will be shipped around 20 October.
What card decks can I use for the card pulls section?
I am so excited about this new addition!
You can use absolutely any card deck, whether it’s from Dreamy Moons or not :)
Can I stock your diaries at my store?
Absolutely! It warms my heart that stores want to have Dreamy. Please fill out the application form here.
How long does the shipping take?
That depends on your country and shipping method. Please note that even though we are launching 11 September, there is a preorder period: your diaries will be shipped between 20-25 September.
Are they limited edition?
Yes, all of our dates diaries are limited edition.
Sometimes they sell out before the year even starts. Other times they’re available until March or April. Every year is different, and because I self-publish everything, it is hard to predict.
This time, I printed slightly less diaries than before, to make sure I don’t get stuck with them.
Have you used AI for the creation of these?
Absolutely not, and never will. Organic Imagination only!!!
