Reforestation

We are giving back to Mother Nature by donating $1 per order towards native tree planting projects run by Carbon Positive Australia.

At the end of each quarter, we calculate our physical sales (digital downloads, gifts and gift cards excluded) and donate $1 per order to Carbon Positive Australia. CPA runs tree planting projects all over Australia with a particular focus on the Northern NSW & Big Scrub region, and Southwest & Wheatbelt WA.

Our donations support a range of essential planting activities including:

~ Site preparation
~ Planting
~ Monitoring
~ Project management
~ Community engagement

Partnering with CPA allows DreamyMoons to offset the carbon emissions generated from shipping orders across the world, ensuring that we actively contribute to the health of our planet rather than just taking from it.

Reforestation projects do so much more than restore tree cover. They help rebuild ecosystems, provide new habitats for wildlife, and play a crucial role in absorbing carbon dioxide, which helps combat climate change. But the impact goes beyond the environment - these initiatives also create jobs for local communities, empowering people with sustainable employment and improving livelihoods.

It feels good to know that every journal you write in is part of a bigger cycle - one that nurtures creativity while giving back to the Earth. By planting trees, we’re not just making up for what we use; we’re actively participating in the regeneration of our planet, ensuring that future generations can continue to be inspired by nature’s beauty.

Our packaging

We are proud that 100% of our packaging is created from recycled materials. 80% of our packaging is paper & cardboard, and we're trying to get it to 100%.

We always encourage re-using our packaging, if possible. If it's not possible to re-use, please recycle our packaging.

Packaging created from recycled materials, and that CAN be recycled again, reduces waste on our planet. It creates a FULL CIRCLE - no new materials need to be created when you can create something from old materials.

Therefore impact on the environment is the least it can be. In this day and age, minimising your impact on the environment as a business should be a priority. And it's definitely ours.

Our printers

DreamyMoons books, journals, card decks and bookmarks are printed in Hong Kong, using FCS certified paper. We work with printers that are committed to sustainable development and green printing. Throughout decades, our printers have invested substantial amounts in the environmental-friendly production, including the adoption of materials, technologies, measures as well as installation of equipment that reduce or control the emission of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC). They have made sure that all print materials they use for our products are tested to comply with the relevant safety standards of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), European Standard (EN), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), British Standards Intuition (BSI) and the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).

We're big on recycling! To make sure nothing goes to waste, our printers turn waste paper such as paper trimmings, paper scraps and materials into new paper products including notepads, memo-pad boxes, notebooks and gift boxes.

We are very proud of the high quality of our creations, which allows them to last a long time, especially when treated with love and care!

Our art prints are printed locally in Byron Bay, Australia.
